James Kotecki leads Kotecki Media Group, a tech communications firm focused on executive storytelling through podcasts, video, and live events.
His work has earned millions of views, major media coverage, and multiple awards. He’s interviewed leaders from OpenAI and Samsung to Hollywood and the NFL.
James’ career began in college when he launched a YouTube series exploring the emerging role of digital video in national politics.
The Economist called him “probably the world’s foremost expert on YouTube videos posted by presidential candidates.”
In a journalistic first, presidential candidates even dropped by his dorm room for interviews.
He then joined the Politico newsroom as one of the national media’s first video bloggers. He later hosted a video series for The Daily, an experimental news app.
James went on to hone his passion for innovation as a communications leader for AI companies, two of which were acquired.
James lives with his family in North Carolina’s Research Triangle. In his spare time, he enjoys learning Spanish and seeing the world.
